Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Grant Administration System Modernization

Job Type: Contract- Long Term
Location: Hybrid- Madison, WI
Pay Rate: $45+/ hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a high-impact initiative focused on modernizing and centralizing grant administration systems and processes. This role will oversee the planning and analysis phases of a large-scale project, working closely with a multidisciplinary contractor team and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex, enterprise-level projects from initiation through completion.
• Coordinate the work of a contractor team including a Business Analyst and Systems Architect.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts.
• Oversee the gathering of system, business, and technical requirements.
• Guide the feasibility study and future-state system architecture design.
• Develop cost estimates for system development, procurement, and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk logs.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing large, complex projects.
• Proven expertise in project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple business areas.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Change Management.
• Experience with grant management systems or enterprise software implementation.
• Familiarity with financial management systems and their integration with grant software.
• Background in working with government agencies, especially in regulatory or compliance environments.

Team Structure:

You will report to the Director of Grants Management and collaborate with a contractor team supported by a part-time Project Manager from the internal PMO.
