This role is onsite/hybrid in San Diego
This role requires strong experience writing specifications, epics, and user stories for web or mobile applications and working closely with business stakeholders and product owners to translate high-level requirements into actionable technical deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to gather and refine requirements
- Write user stories, epics, and functional specifications for application and platform development
- Convert high-level requirements into detailed technical documentation for developers
- Facilitate meetings between business and technical teams to resolve ambiguities and align priorities
- Support Agile ceremonies
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA/PHI) in requirements and documentation
- Utilize Jira and Confluence for documentation and workflow management
Required Skills
- Business Systems Analyst with experience writing specs and user stories from scratch for web or mobile applications
- Strong communication and facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Ability to create artifacts from scratch
- Technical literacy to collaborate effectively with developers
Preferred Skills
- BI/Analytics domain experience (PowerBI, Tableau)
- Healthcare industry experience
- Exposure to Apache Superset or similar reporting platforms
- Previous technical background (e.g. former developer)
