Accounting Specialist
Type: Temp to Hire
Start: ASAP
Location: Onsite
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm schedule (candidate choice)
Comp: $32.74/hr pay rate. Salary upon conversion TBD.

Overview
A high-end real estate and property management group is adding an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting tasks, vendor setup, contract preparation, and communication with tenants and internal teams. This is a new role, so long-term conversion depends on workload and performance. The team values strong communication, problem solving, and a polished, service-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Support

  • Process, upload, and code 150+ invoices per month

  • Enter cash receipts and billing adjustments

  • Enter AP invoices and verify supporting documentation

  • Monitor receivables, run weekly AR reports, and follow up on late tenant payments

  • Assist with month-end and periodic accounting deadlines

  • Help prepare routine reporting packages

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist the Accounting Manager and General Manager

  • Create and update vendor contracts and populate fields in templates

  • Set up new vendors and support coding/payment questions

  • Coordinate with Shared Services on payment status and tenant account issues

  • Maintain organized files and documentation

  • Perform other tasks as assigned

What We Need

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred

  • 1-2+ years in accounting, AP/AR, or bookkeeping

  • Experience with Yardi highly preferred; MRI acceptable

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong Excel skills

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Good communication skills and a professional, friendly style

  • Ability to work both independently and with a team

  • Strong organization and time management abilities

Additional Notes

  • Onsite role

  • Team of six

  • Interview process: short manager screen followed by back-to-back team conversations, with intent to start quickly
