The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of a manufacturing organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Month-End Close

  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

• Cost Accounting & Inventory

  • Track and analyze costs of goods sold (COGS)

  • Maintain and validate inventory records across production sites

  • Support standard cost updates and variance analysis

• Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments

  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables

• Financial Reporting

  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

• Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies

  • Support external audits and provide documentation as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel

• Experience with inventory management and production cost analysis (highly preferred)

• Familiarity with freight, import/export documentation, and supply chain finance (high preferred)
