Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant to join our client's team. This role is integral to ensuring accuracy and compliance in contract review, billing, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to collaborate across multiple locations and departments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review/analyze new and existing job contracts for specific billing/invoicing/compliance terms to ensure proper processing operations and streamline audit prep.
- Maintain detailed contract files and documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and leadership to resolve billing discrepancies and support audit readiness.
- Provide ad-hoc support for transaction processing, reconciliations, and special projects.
- Partner with finance leadership to streamline processes and improve accuracy of reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with emphasis on project accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $85k-100k
