A rapidly growing company is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to operational and technical accounting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and eager to contribute to continuous improvement and process development as the organization scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Own key areas of the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and support preparation of internal financial reports.

• Assist with fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure reporting.

• Support cost accounting initiatives, including inventory reconciliations and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Contribute to process improvements, internal control enhancements, and accounting policy updates.

• Participate in ad hoc projects related to system improvements, reporting, and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or product-based environment preferred.

• CPA designation or active pursuit strongly preferred.

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning and process optimization.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
