Job Summary
Will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical applications that enable seamless communication by developing and designing scalable and maintainable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. Creating RESTful APIs and integrating them with other microservices for backend communication. Build scalable, maintainable, and high performance microservices using Java (JDK), Spring Boot, and J2EE technologies, ensuring smooth integration with Spring Data JPA and Hibernate for database access. Implement and optimize multi-threading solutions to improve application performance, particularly in concurrent or parallel processing scenarios. Work with relational (Oracle, DB2) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elasticsearch) to store and query data as part of application functionality. Engage in the modernization of legacy systems and work on upgrading existing applications, transitioning them to more scalable and efficient architectures, and ensuring they meet both current and future business needs. Utilize Java libraries and frameworks such as Collections API, Streams API, and Java 8+ features (e.g., lambda expressions, functional interfaces) to streamline development. Design and implementing event-driven systems that leverage real-time data streams and messaging protocols. Ensuring that the platform can handle large-scale data processing, high throughput, and minimal latency. Leverage cloud technologies (AWS services like EKS, Lambda, and EC2) to design systems that can scale with the business’s growing needs. Responsible for driving innovation within the team and work on evolving the system architecture by incorporating modern technologies such as serverless computing, containerization, and microservices. Responsible for identifying the root cause and implementing a robust solution which will involve debugging issues related to performance bottlenecks, messaging failures, or integration challenges. Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipeline that automates the deployment process, ensuring that the software can be built, tested, and deployed efficiently and with minimal errors. This involves tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS). Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code using frameworks like Spring Boot to build microservices and APIs. Design and optimize relational schemas for Oracle or DB2 databases, ensuring they meet the needs of business logic and scale with application growth. Implement OAuth 2.0 for secure and standardized authentication and authorization mechanisms across microservices and applications. Write comprehensive unit tests using JUnit and Mockito, ensuring high coverage and stable application functionality. Position requires up to 100% domestic travel. This position is for full-time, salaried (W-2), permanent employment. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience in the Software Industry.
