Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to add to their team. This candidate will be doing hands on data engineering and leading the team through strategic initiatives. They will be working in Google and should be strongly skilled in SQL, Python, Big Query and have good experience with BI tools. This person will be involved in multiple projects at once and working with teams across the organization. They should be comfortable communicating with the business and IT. If you are a strong Dt, this role could be for you!
Required Skills:
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Advanced SQL skills including inner and outer joins, pivot tables, vlookups
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to speak fluently with both business and technical stakeholders
- Comfortable interacting with senior executives and navigating enterprise environments
- Data modeling skills
- Experience with data visualization tools such at Looker, Tableau, and/or PowerBI
- Experience doing data migration project work with massive amounts of data
Desired Skills:
- Ability to write macros in SQL a huge plus
- Experience doing data migration for large ERP initiatives very helpful
- Strongly desire someone with Python scripting skills for data processing and transformation
- Experience with cloud-based datawarehouses strongly desired
- Experirence with BigQuery
- Experience data workflow management tools such as Luigi, Azkaban and Airflow
- Experience with DBT for data modeling and transformation
- Bachelor's Degree a plus
