About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role offers the opportunity to grow within the organization and transition to a permanent position based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

• Assist in preparing supporting schedules for audits and internal reviews.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other balance sheet accounts.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with [specific ERP/software, e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.] preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
