Job Title: Substation Project Engineer
Location: Oakland/West Sac
HYBRID Schedule:
- 3x per week in office/ on job site
Schedule: 5 days per week x 8 hour days (M-Friday)
Duration: 14+ month contract - this is a long-term opportunity
Overview:
They are seeking Substation Project Engineers with strong substation engineering backgrounds to support substation design oversight, contractor management, materials procurement, and engineering QA/QC across service territory. This role provides technical leadership and oversight of external engineering firms performing substation design work, ensuring compliance with utility standards, safety rules, and engineering best practices.
Required Skills:
- 5+ Years of Substation Project Engineering Experience OR 3+ years of recent substation AND 8+ years of overall utilities experience (Transmission, Distribution, etc
- Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors)
- Strong knowledge of substation equipment, design standards, and construction practices.
- M365 Experience (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
- Organizational & Time Management skills
- Great communicator
Required Degree:
- B.A./B.S. (or higher) in Electrical Engineering. Will not accept any other type of Engineering Degree.
