We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated DB2 for i Platform Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with software development teams to support and guide application deployment across both cloud and on-premise platforms. Your primary focus will be on the administration and optimization of the DB2 environment-particularly DB2 for i. This is a hands-on technical role that combines systems engineering, platform architecture, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will play a critical part in scaling and enhancing the DB2 for i platform, troubleshooting issues, designing new platform components, and influencing the adoption of modern tools and practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the full software lifecycle and contributing to high-impact infrastructure initiatives.
Required:
Proven experience with DB2 for i (DB2/400, IBM i, or iSeries) administration and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of application deployment in both on-premise and cloud environments.
Proficient in SQL optimization and system diagnostics.
Familiarity with observability tools and practices (logging, metrics, alerting).
