Location: Remote EST hours

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone with 7+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience who can lead cloud initiatives, optimize infrastructure, and ensure reliability across mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.)

  • Implement automation for provisioning, configuration management, and deployments (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)

  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and scalability

  • Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements

  • Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis

  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application delivery in cloud environments

  • Drive cost optimization strategies and resource utilization best practices

  • Stay current with AWS services, emerging cloud technologies, and best practices

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of cloud engineering or infrastructure experience, with extensive AWS expertise

  • Strong knowledge of networking (VPC, DNS, load balancing, security groups, firewalls)

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)

  • Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
