Beacon Hill is seeking a Data Engineer with experience in Python programming that has a foundational understanding of data architecture. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable writing Python scripts and working with Azure Data Factory to extract data from various source systems. This role will be working with Petabytes worth of data and is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in cultivating and honing their data skills using cutting edge techniques. This opportunity is for someone who has proven experience, is data driven and is eager to learn and develop their skills in a supportive and innovative enterprise environment.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in an information technology field, specifically with Python development and/or data specific roles
- Experience with Python, Terraform, and Databricks.
- Understanding of JSON, jinja templates, and Lakehouse Data Architecture.
- Experience evaluating and consulting on data management techniques and tools and data warehousing or similar technology (e.g., data lakes, data marts, etc.)
- Experience in data extract, transformation, and load (ETL/ELT) techniques and execution
- Understand how data architectures are implemented
Desired Skills:
- Focus in cloud database development or cloud ELT with an understanding of Kimball methodology.
- Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
- Experience providing technical consultation regarding data strategy, tool implementation, or data management, to individuals with varying technology backgrounds
