Our client is looking for a Data Technical Lead to add to their team. This candidate will be doing hands on data engineering and leading the team through strategic initiatives. They will be working in Google and should be strongly skilled in SQL, Python, Big Query and have good experience with BI tools. This person will be involved in multiple projects at once and working with teams across the organization. They should be comfortable communicating visions and strategies to all levels of leadership and to different teams on both business and IT sides. This person should have experience leading a team and mentoring junior developers. They will also act as a point of escalation for high level technical support issues. If you are someone that wants to lead a team but also still be in the weeds doing hands on engineering, this role could be for you!

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of technical experience in data engineering
• Strong SQL skills and experience with BigQuery
• Leadership experience in mentoring or leading technical team members
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and transformation
• Experience with BI tools (Looker strongly preferred)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to speak fluently with both business and technical stakeholders
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives and navigating enterprise environments

Desired Skills:

• Hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience having managed direct reports
• Experience with DBT for data modeling and transformation
