Location: Remote EST hours
We are seeking a hands-on microservices expert to join our Center of Excellence team. In this role, you'll design, develop, and optimize scalable microservices and reusable frameworks to drive enterprise adoption. You will serve as an individual contributor while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions are robust, cloud-ready, and aligned with modern architecture principles.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design and development of robust, scalable microservices and reusable enterprise frameworks
Apply microservices architecture principles, including service discovery, API gateways, and service meshes
Build and deploy services in cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also applicable)
Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot applications and RESTful services
Work with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
Implement messaging and event-driven architectures with Kafka or RabbitMQ
Collaborate in an agile development environment, focusing on reusable components and best practices
Support data streaming and replication processes, and leverage relational and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
Contribute to enterprise adoption of domain-driven design (DDD) principles
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience in application design and development
2+ years developing Java Spring Boot microservices
Strong experience with Java 8/J2EE, RESTful APIs, and distributed applications
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment
Messaging and integration experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
Ability to code in multiple languages and quickly learn new technologies
