Shift: 6am-2pm

Contract until the end of the year with high likelihood to be extended to multi year contract

We are seeking a detail-oriented Composite Materials Lab Technician to support material evaluation and testing activities. This role involves managing supplier material documentation, preparing samples, performing tests, and assisting in the analysis of composite materials to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain supplier documentation to verify compliance with requirements.

• Log new materials into the lab and prepare test samples for evaluation.

• Fabricate composite test coupons and perform physical/mechanical testing to validate material performance.

• Identify and document non-compliant materials, ensuring adherence to quality system requirements.

• Conduct material and process testing; assist in root-cause analysis of failed parts and materials.

• Collect, analyze, and document test data to support material evaluations and engineering decisions.

• Assist in the development, revision, and maintenance of technical documents, test methods, and material specifications.

• Participate in supplier and material qualification activities to ensure conformance and producibility.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering Technology, or related field

• Hands-on experience in a laboratory or materials testing environment

• Familiarity with composite materials, fabrication methods, and testing procedures

• Working knowledge of quality systems and handling non-conforming materials
