Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support organizational growth. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles to manage the accounting team, streamline processes, and deliver accurate financial reporting. This is a contract-to-hire position and is hybrid after training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with leadership.

  • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate external audits and act as the primary point of contact with auditors and regulatory agencies.

  • Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, fostering professional development and team growth.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, workflows, and reporting accuracy.

  • Provide management with timely insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
