Location: Orientation on site in the Conshohocken, PA area. Remote after that.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Load Balancing Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable and redundant load balancing solutions for applications, websites, and services. This role will focus on optimizing performance, ensuring high availability, and supporting migrations and cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, Citrix NetScaler, and strong knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain load balancing solutions across multiple platforms and environments

  • Manage load balancers including F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, and Citrix NetScaler

  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to load balancers and backend servers

  • Monitor traffic flow and load distribution to optimize system performance and availability

  • Collaborate with Network Security teams to ensure secure and compliant configurations

  • Investigate, isolate, and resolve network and hardware issues impacting project delivery

  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed, with occasional night/weekend support for migration work

  • Work in cloud environments, primarily Microsoft Azure

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on engineering experience with load balancing platforms, protocols, and configurations

  • Experience designing, implementing, and migrating load balancing solutions

  • Solid understanding of switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless hardware

  • Hands-on experience with network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and application issues

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
