An excellent client of ours local to Maumelle, AK is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team!
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Close
- Own the month-end close process end-to-end, including building schedules, templates, and documentation from scratch
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting workpapers
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting
- Manage inventory accounting, including standard costing, inventory reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Partner with operations to understand production flows and inventory movements
- Ensure proper accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Support cost accounting and margin analysis as needed
Process Build-Out & Integration
- Create scalable accounting processes for a newly acquired entity
- Assist with integration into the parent company's financial reporting structure
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
Training & Development
Train and mentor, an operational and accounting manager to cover the accounting and financial functions for the Plant.
- Translate accounting concepts into practical, understandable guidance for a non-accounting professional
- Develop documentation and training materials to support long-term knowledge transfer
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with operations, leadership, and the parent company's finance team
- Support audits, tax requests, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
