REQUIRED: Top Secret Security Clearance
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and ongoing support of multi-user computer systems. This role involves working closely with network and infrastructure teams to maintain system stability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support multi-user systems, including creating and managing administrator and service accounts.
- Collaborate with network administrators and other IT teams to maintain smooth day-to-day system operations.
- Install, configure, and maintain system-wide software and applications.
- Monitor, tune, and optimize system performance for efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
- Manage storage resources, including disk space allocation and backup capacity.
- Support backup and recovery processes to ensure data protection and business continuity.
- Engage with end users to troubleshoot issues, gather requirements, and provide technical guidance.
- Evaluate vendor hardware and software solutions and provide recommendations for procurement.
- Coordinate installation and implementation of new hardware and software.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies, standards, and best practices related to system usage and computing resources.
Required Skills
- REQUIRED: Top Secret Security Clearance
- 1+ years of Systems Administrator experience
- System Administration: Experience managing multi-user computer systems and user accounts.
- Operating Systems: Proficiency with enterprise-level OS (Windows Server, or Linux/Unix).
- Performance Optimization: Ability to monitor and tune system performance.
- Storage Management: Knowledge of disk space allocation and backup strategies.
- Backup & Recovery: Familiarity with disaster recovery and data protection processes.
- Security Best Practices: Implementing and maintaining system security standards.
