Our client is seeking a Junior Data Engineer with either Internship or 1-2+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering working with SQL and Python.
- Education & Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Graduated from a strong academic program (top-tier or rigorous curriculum preferred), especially if work experience is limited
- Core Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Python
- Strong proficiency in writing clean, modular, and testable code
- Experience with data processing frameworks and libraries
- SQL
- Advanced querying skills
- Experience working with large datasets
- Troubleshooting
- Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills
- Databricks
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
- Familiarity with Spark (PySpark), notebooks, and job orchestration
- Kafka
- Understanding of event-driven architecture
- Experience producing/consuming messages and handling data streams
