Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our client's accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. This position is contract with the potential to convert to a permanent employee.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments

  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly

  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and internal analyses

  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

  • Help prepare for audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and consistency

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 2+ years of accounting experience (internship or staff accountant role preferred)

  • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
