The Finance Specialist supports the organization's financial operations through analysis, reporting, and process improvement. This role ensures accurate financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and timely completion of financial tasks such as reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The Finance Specialist works closely with accounting, FP&A, and management teams to enhance financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Support month-end and year-end close processes through journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting by gathering data, analyzing trends, and identifying financial risks and opportunities.
Conduct financial analysis to evaluate performance, cost efficiency, and profitability of business units or projects.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company financial policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and operational decisions.
Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related finance roles.
Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP, and internal controls.
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel functions (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
