Our client in Philadelphia is seeking an audit/tax associate on a temp to perm basis:

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations

• Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and internal control evaluations

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts

• Research tax issues and assist in preparing supporting documentation and workpapers

• Analyze financial data and reconcile accounts to support audit and tax engagements

• Prepare audit schedules, confirmations, and client deliverables

• Communicate with clients to obtain information, clarify issues, and support engagement needs

• Assist with year‑end closing procedures and adjusting journal entries

• Maintain organized workpapers in accordance with firm standards and regulatory requirements

• Support senior staff and managers with special projects and ad‑hoc assignments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA eligibility preferred)

• 2-4 years of audit or tax experience (internships accepted)

• Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax principles

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/tax software (QuickBooks, UltraTax, ProSystem, or similar)

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
