Position Summary

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records and ensuring timely, compliant financial reporting. This position leads complex accounting activities, supports month-end close, prepares financial analyses, and partners with cross-functional teams to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities

  • Perform and review complex account reconciliations (balance sheet and P&L)

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP

  • Research and resolve accounting issues, providing technical guidance as needed

  • Support external and internal audits, including preparation of audit schedules

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and company policies

  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and automation

  • Mentor and review work of Staff Accountants

  • Collaborate with FP&A, Payroll, AP/AR, and Operations teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience (public or corporate)

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)

  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar)

  • Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
