Required Skills:

- Prior experience with server refresh or OS migration projects

- Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, etc.)
- Experience performing system upgrades, patching, or maintenance tasks
- Understanding of virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper‑V)
- Basic troubleshooting skills related to network connectivity, DNS, and server communication
Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Junior System Administrator will support a Windows Server Operating System Refresh initiative by executing upgrade activities across approximately several hundred servers. They will follow a fully documented, step‑by‑step process to upgrade servers from Windows Server 2016 and 2019 to Windows Server 2022, with each upgrade typically requiring about four hours of hands-on work. The administrators will join servers to the appropriate domains, validate connectivity, and perform basic post‑upgrade functionality checks to ensure systems are stable. They will handle routine troubleshooting of network or communication issues and escalate more complex problems to senior staff as needed. Throughout the project, the administrators will maintain accurate documentation, provide status updates, and work collaboratively within a structured, process‑driven environment to ensure consistent execution across all migrations.
