This is a <strong>contract\u2011to\u2011hire<\/strong> opportunity. The ideal candidate will have hands\u2011on general ledger experience, including bank reconciliations and journal entries, and be eager to learn construction and project\u2011based accounting.<\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph-in-scc-markdown-text ___1ngh792 ftgm304 f1iaxwol\"> <\/div>\n<h3><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Maintain monthly general ledger reconciliations and support the close process<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Assist with accounts payable check runs and payment approvals (ACH\/Positive Pay)<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Record and apply customer payments; assist with cash and receipt reconciliations<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Support job cost tracking and expense coding within the ERP system<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Assist with labor, overhead, and project cost allocations<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Maintain fixed asset records and support depreciation schedules<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Prepare recurring financial and operational reports (job status, backlog, cash position)<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Support internal and external audit preparation, including union and workers&#8217; comp audits<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings (payroll, sales &amp; use, and state reporting)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Technical Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\"><strong>1+ years of accountant\u2011level experience<\/strong> (GL, bank recs, journal entries required)<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Experience supporting audits or CPA requests<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">Exposure to construction or project\u2011based accounting preferred (not required)<\/li>\n<li class=\"___ccc16d0 fje8fi8 f1ng9h0j f1bwykku f18jd3zf\">ERP experience preferred;
