This role offers the chance to work directly with inventors and attorneys on cutting-edge technologies. Law firm experience is preferred, especially in larger firms that work regularly with start-up companies. Must have strong patent prep &amp; pros skills, opinion, and diligence work experience.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"468\">Patent Agent <strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"492\" data-end=\"784\">\n<li data-start=\"492\" data-end=\"593\">\n<p data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"593\">Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in chemistry\/pharma subject matter<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"594\" data-end=\"651\">\n<p data-start=\"596\" data-end=\"651\">Conduct prior art searches and patentability analyses<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"652\" data-end=\"706\">\n<p data-start=\"654\" data-end=\"706\">Assist with portfolio strategy and patent opinions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"784\">\n<p data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"784\">Collaborate with clients, inventors, and examiners throughout the process<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"815\"><strong data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"813\">Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"1093\">\n<li data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"915\">\n<p data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"915\"><strong>PhD <\/strong>in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and genetics<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"915\">\n<p data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"915\"><strong data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"940\">USPTO registration<\/strong> required<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"1036\">\n<p data-start=\"954\" data-end=\"1036\">At least <strong data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"1001\">2 years of patent agent experience<\/strong> in law firm or corporate setting<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1093\">\n<p data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1093\">Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This firm boasts a collaborative and flexible environment with a very reasonable billing expectation and strong compensation.
