This role partners closely with Payroll and Finance to support month\u2011end close, payroll accruals, reconciliations, audits, and variance analysis.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Payroll Accounting &amp; GL Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Record and reconcile payroll journal entries, including wages, taxes, benefits, bonuses, equity compensation, and accruals<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile payroll clearing, liability, tax, benefit, and withholding accounts on a monthly basis<\/li>\n<li>Ensure payroll data flows accurately from payroll systems to the general ledger<\/li>\n<li>Investigate and resolve payroll\u2011related variances, discrepancies, and reconciling items<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Month\u2011End &amp; Financial Close<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare payroll\u2011related accruals, adjustments, and true\u2011ups as part of month\u2011end close<\/li>\n<li>Support balance sheet and income statement analysis tied to payroll expenses<\/li>\n<li>Maintain supporting schedules for payroll, benefits, and compensation\u2011related accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tax, Compliance &amp; Audit Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support payroll tax reconciliation and review of payroll\u2011related tax filings<\/li>\n<li>Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation<\/li>\n<li>Ensure payroll accounting complies with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cross\u2011Functional Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with Payroll and HR on payroll changes impacting accounting (new hires, terminations, leave, bonuses, equity, retro pay)<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with Treasury on payroll funding, timing, and cash requirements<\/li>\n<li>Support system integrations, process improvements, and payroll accounting automation initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting &amp;
