This opportunity offers strong executive visibility, long-term stability, and the ability to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative and growing environment.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"196ebjz\" data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"862\">Position Overview<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1275\">The Controller will serve as a key accounting and finance leader within the organization, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced, project-driven construction environment. This individual will manage the accounting team, maintain accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvement initiatives across multiple entities and active construction projects.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1450\">This role requires a hands-on accounting leader who can operate both strategically and tactically while partnering closely with executive leadership and operational teams.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"10pz9u7\" data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1473\">Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"2401\">\n<li data-section-id=\"16c6qd5\" data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1562\">Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, Payroll, GL, and month-end close<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1h15kig\" data-start=\"1563\" data-end=\"1644\">Manage and monitor WIP schedules across approximately 50 active projects\/jobs<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"vb1bp8\" data-start=\"1645\" data-end=\"1716\">Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting processes<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"shqapk\" data-start=\"1717\" data-end=\"1820\">Maintain oversight of income tax, sales tax, bank reconciliations, and compliance-related reporting<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"5jlw1w\" data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"1896\">Partner with external CPA firm on year-end financials and audit support<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"sg0tvg\" data-start=\"1897\" data-end=\"1973\">Oversee accounting for multiple entities\/subsidiaries with separate P&amp;Ls<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"mraa7k\" data-start=\"1974\" data-end=\"2067\">Improve accounting workflows, automate manual processes, and strengthen internal controls<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"oqarwx\" data-start=\"2068\" data-end=\"2156\">Clean up backlogged accounting activity and establish scalable accounting procedures<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1u60zma\" data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2238\">Support operational leadership with project financial oversight and reporting<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"p4wc07\" data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2322\">Mentor, develop, and manage accounting staff within a collaborative environment<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1b6jld9\" data-start=\"2323\" data-end=\"2401\">Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data and reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"ou39on\" data-start=\"2403\" data-end=\"2422\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"2423\" data-end=\"2980\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1k22fuz\" data-start=\"2423\" data-end=\"2513\">Controller experience within a General Contractor or construction environment required<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"19flu7x\" data-start=\"2514\" data-end=\"2571\">Strong WIP and project accounting experience required<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"8rp53t\" data-start=\"2572\" data-end=\"2623\">Experience overseeing AP, Payroll, and AR teams<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"qk9t8y\" data-start=\"2624\" data-end=\"2697\">Strong understanding of construction accounting and internal controls<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"17yffrf\" data-start=\"2698\" data-end=\"2782\">Experience managing multi-entity or subsidiary accounting environments preferred<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"qpt1hu\" data-start=\"2783\" data-end=\"2847\">Ability to operate in both strategic and hands-on capacities<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1mcgdux\" data-start=\"2848\" data-end=\"2908\">Experience improving and automating accounting processes<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"m9c7pu\" data-start=\"2909\" data-end=\"2942\">Sage 100 experience preferred<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1gq3z61\" data-start=\"2943\" data-end=\"2980\">CPA or CPA-track highly preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1dcpbdv\" data-start=\"2982\" data-end=\"3018\">Compensation &amp;
