The right candidate is a self-starter with <strong>plaintiff\u2011side complex litigation experience<\/strong>, particularly in <strong>antitrust, securities, and consumer\/corporate governance class actions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> San Diego, CA 92101 (hybrid &#8211; 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start:<\/strong> ASAP<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> open-ended, with potential to convert to direct hire<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong> Full-time (willing and available to work overtime as needed)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pay:<\/strong> $35 to $65\/hour, depending on experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of <strong>paralegal experience<\/strong> working at a <strong>plaintiff\u2011side firm<\/strong> focused on <strong>antitrust, consumer protection, securities, and\/or corporate governance class action litigation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Excellent cite\u2011checking, proofreading, and editing skills, including strong command of Bluebook citation rules<\/li>\n<li>Proofreading and editorial skills, and advanced grammar knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office 365 and Kofax Power PDF<\/li>\n<li>Bloomberg, Westlaw, LexisNexis File &amp; Serve, Pacer, Courtdrive, and electronic filing procedures (both federal and state)<\/li>\n<li>Experience using SharePoint document management system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree, and<\/li>\n<li>Graduation from an ABA-approved program of study for paralegals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting priorities<\/li>\n<li>Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative<\/li>\n<li>Strong customer service skills and able to anticipate needs<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects<\/li>\n<li>Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion<\/li>\n<li>Exercises solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Quick responder and proactive communicator, comfortable collaborating with attorneys and paralegals across multiple offices via email, telephone, and shared document platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates will be tested on proofreading, grammar, punctuation, fact-checking, and cite-checking skills at the time of the interview.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide support to multiple partners and associates while working under the guidance of a Paralegal Manager<\/li>\n<li>Proofread and cite check all legal documents<\/li>\n<li>Complete projects on time and accurately<\/li>\n<li>E-filing in federal and state courts<\/li>\n<li>Assist attorneys with discovery and case management, including monitoring deadlines and maintaining familiarity with assigned matters<\/li>\n<li>Finalize, file, and serve briefs, complaints, and other legal documents;
