This role requires strong expertise in inpatient facility coding within complex clinical environments, including academic or trauma-based settings.<\/p>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity for coders who are comfortable working independently with complex case mixes and maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Review and assign accurate codes for inpatient medical records, including diagnoses and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Apply <strong>ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS<\/strong>, and <strong>MS-DRG\/APR-DRG<\/strong> methodologies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards<\/li>\n<li>Validate completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation and POA indicators<\/li>\n<li>Utilize EHR systems and coding tools for accurate code assignment<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with providers through the query process to clarify documentation<\/li>\n<li>Participate in audits, quality reviews, and CDI initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Maintain productivity and accuracy expectations (high QA standards required)<\/li>\n<li>Support documentation quality improvements and reporting metrics such as SOI, ROM, and CMI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>3+ years of recent inpatient hospital (facility) coding experience<\/strong><br \/> <em>(Must be true inpatient coding &#8211;
