Attorneys work directly with employers across a variety of industries, advising on day-to-day workplace issues while also handling complex disputes and strategic employment matters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The group has a well-established reputation in the Michigan market and represents employers ranging from closely held businesses to large institutional clients. Associates receive meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and exposure to both counseling and litigation matters early in their careers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advise employers on hiring, discipline, termination, accommodations, leave administration, wage and hour compliance, and workplace policies<\/li>\n<li>Draft and revise employment agreements, handbooks, policies, and related workplace documents<\/li>\n<li>Conduct and support workplace investigations<\/li>\n<li>Represent employers in state and federal employment litigation matters<\/li>\n<li>Handle administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC and MDCR<\/li>\n<li>Participate in discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and hearings<\/li>\n<li>Support traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, grievance administration, and labor strategy, where applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>J.D. from an accredited law school<\/li>\n<li>Admission or eligibility for admission to the Michigan Bar<\/li>\n<li>Approximately 2-6 years of labor and employment experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to client service and practical problem solving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Highlights<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Established and highly respected management-side Labor &amp; Employment practice<\/li>\n<li>Broad mix of counseling, compliance, litigation, and labor work<\/li>\n<li>Significant client contact and hands-on responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Diverse client base across manufacturing, healthcare, education, financial services, and other industries<\/li>\n<li>Strong mentorship and long-term career development opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking a sophisticated management-side Labor &amp; Employment practice with meaningful responsibility, strong client exposure, and long-term growth potential.
