Through a combination of social services, affordable housing initiatives, neighborhood development, and community-based programs, the organization supports thousands of residents annually and continues to expand its impact throughout the East Bay.<\/p>\n<p>With a mission-driven culture and a long history of community investment, the organization partners with local stakeholders to create sustainable opportunities that strengthen neighborhoods, improve quality of life, and promote long-term economic mobility. <\/p>\n<h3>Position Summary<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Senior Grants Accountant plays a key role in ensuring responsible stewardship of grant funding, supporting program success, and maintaining compliance with funder and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<h3>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<h4>Grants Billing &amp; Invoicing<\/h4>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Prepare and submit accurate, timely invoices in accordance with grant and contract agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Track billing schedules and maintain detailed records of invoices, payments, and outstanding receivables.<\/li>\n<li>Support month-end and year-end close processes, including grant revenue recognition.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with program staff to ensure deliverables and reporting requirements are met to enable timely billing.<\/li>\n<li>Follow up with funders on outstanding receivables while maintaining positive relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Compliance &amp; Stewardship<\/h4>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and funder-specific requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and allowable cost principles.<\/li>\n<li>Lead grant closeout processes, including reconciliations, final invoicing, and financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate regular grant review meetings with program teams to support compliance and financial clarity.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review general ledger entries, including payroll allocations, ensuring effort reporting aligns with funding requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Recordkeeping &amp; Documentation<\/h4>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Maintain complete, organized grant files, including agreements, amendments, reports, and supporting documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Track and document cost-sharing or matching contributions to ensure commitments are met and properly recorded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Financial Management &amp; Allocations<\/h4>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Prepare journal entries to allocate or reclassify expenses across grants and funding sources.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor administrative and indirect costs to ensure compliance with funding restrictions and allowable limits.<\/li>\n<li>Support the accurate allocation of shared costs, including staffing and operational expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Audit &amp; Funder Review Support<\/h4>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for annual financial and single audits.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to auditor and funder inquiries in a timely and professional manner.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with preparation for funder monitoring visits and implement recommended improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Budget Monitoring &amp;
