Position Summary<\/h2>\n

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support financial management activities across a growing portfolio of large scale development projects. This individual will play a key role in project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, reporting, and financial oversight while partnering closely with project teams and leadership.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate brings strong project accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and thrives in fast paced, highly collaborative environments.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n

* Manage project accounting activities including project setup, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting<\/p>\n

* Monitor project costs, expenditures, and financial performance while preparing variance analyses and reporting packages<\/p>\n

* Prepare monthly project financial reports and ensure accuracy of project level accounting and reporting<\/p>\n

* Partner closely with project managers, operations teams, procurement teams, and leadership to support project financial performance<\/p>\n

* Support month end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and project accounting reviews<\/p>\n

* Assist with billing, invoicing, collections, and vendor related accounting activities<\/p>\n

* Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls<\/p>\n

* Support budgeting and forecasting processes through project level financial analysis and reporting<\/p>\n

* Identify opportunities for process improvements and support systems enhancements to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy<\/p>\n

* Support audits, lender reporting, investor reporting, and project financial documentation requirements<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/h2>\n

* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2+ years supporting project accounting, construction accounting, real estate development accounting, infrastructure accounting, or related environments<\/p>\n

* Strong understanding of project accounting principles and US GAAP<\/p>\n

* Experience working with ERP or project accounting systems such as Yardi, Deltek, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms<\/p>\n

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities<\/p>\n

* Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills<\/p>\n

* Experience supporting real estate development, construction, infrastructure, data center, or capital project environments strongly preferred<\/p>\n

* CPA designation or progress toward CPA is preferred but not required<\/p>\n

Education<\/h2>\n

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required<\/p>\n
