Candidates should be comfortable in both field and office settings. Selected candidates will be trained in customer engineering and construction standards and will gain experience across a wide range of distribution engineering disciplines including structural pole modeling, electrical power calculations, GIS design, and project management.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><em>Distribution Design &amp; Engineering<\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"[li_&amp;]:mb-0 [li_&amp;]:mt-1 [li_&amp;]:gap-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3\">\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems operating from 4kV through 138kV<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Support programmatic work including overloaded transformers, inspection and maintenance, joint use, and inspection reports<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Perform engineering calculations including structural analysis for wood pole loading, guying calculations, conductor sag and tension specifications, and voltage drop and flicker calculations<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Provide engineering support during construction including post-construction reviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><em>Field &amp; Permitting<\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"[li_&amp;]:mb-0 [li_&amp;]:mt-1 [li_&amp;]:gap-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3\">\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections, and return to office to perform engineering design work<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Develop permitting documents for different AHJs<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Support work permit development, easements, and ROW applications<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Assess and develop design packages for complex cable\/conduit projects in dense urban environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><em>Tools &amp;
