This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance, maintain strong internal controls, support operational decision-making, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The Plant Controller manages cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory controls, variance analysis, and month-end close activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lead all plant accounting and financial functions, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, operational reports, and KPIs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Develop financial models and operational analyses to support business decisions.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maintain and oversee standard costing methodologies and inventory valuation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, scrap, and absorption.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitor inventory accuracy and partner with operations on cycle counts and physical inventories.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Evaluate production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Support capital expenditure tracking and ROI analysis.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Partner with plant leadership to improve productivity, profitability, and operational performance.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Provide financial insight into manufacturing metrics, labor utilization, and production efficiency.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Assist with pricing analysis, margin improvement initiatives, and operational planning.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ensure strong financial controls over plant operations and inventory processes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Coordinate internal and external audit requests.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maintain compliance with SOX requirements where applicable.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Supervise plant accounting staff, including mentoring and performance management.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, procurement, and corporate finance teams.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Education<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Strong cost accounting and inventory management experience required.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience supporting multi-site or high-volume manufacturing operations is a plus.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Technical Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strong understanding of GAAP and manufacturing accounting principles.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience with ERP systems such NetSuite.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Advanced Excel skills required.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
