This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, with a focus on general ledger activity, grant accounting, and financial reporting in a nonprofit environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, organization, and experience working with restricted funding and compliance standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with daily accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting the month-end close process.<\/li>\n<li>Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.<\/li>\n<li>Support grant and fund accounting activities, including tracking restricted funds and monitoring expenditures against grant requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare grant-related billings, invoices, and financial reports in alignment with donor guidelines and reporting deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze grant budgets versus actual spending and assist with financial tracking across multiple funding sources.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and cash application.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with audit support, including compiling documentation and responding to auditor requests.<\/li>\n<li>Produce internal financial reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements.<\/li>\n<li>Work cross-functionally with program staff and finance team members to ensure proper financial reporting and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve overall efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within a nonprofit environment, including exposure to grant accounting and restricted funds, required.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience supporting audits and preparing financial documentation is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, MIP, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/ZmluYW5jZWRjLjkzNTU3LjEyNTg0QGJlYWNvbmhpbGwuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">F3750201-HB_1781105102<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"otherId\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/F3750201-HB_1781105102\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":3770,"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Washington, District of Columbia","_application":"financedc.93557.12584@beaconhill.aplitrak.com","_company_name":"Beacon Hill Staffing Group","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[201,203],"job-types":[2],"class_list":["post-127477","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-full-time"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.8 -
