This role supports tax planning initiatives, conducts research on tax issues, and assists with audits and financial reporting requirements.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"467\" data-end=\"470\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"472\" data-end=\"498\">Key Responsibilities <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve tax-related issues<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes<\/li>\n<li>Perform bank and account reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and organize client chart of accounts<\/li>\n<li>Assist clients with basic bookkeeping and accounting needs<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and client tax savings<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and trusts accurately and timely.<\/li>\n<li>Gather and analyze financial data, including income, deductions, and distributions related to estates and trusts.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with attorneys, financial advisors, and clients to obtain necessary documentation and clarify tax issues.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations, staying updated on relevant changes.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain organized records of all filings and correspondence.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the tax team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1198\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1200\" data-end=\"1220\">Qualifications <\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1628\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting or related field<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">4+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Strong knowledge of tax compliance for individuals and small businesses<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Proficiency in software, QuickBooks, MS Office, tax related software systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;
