Required Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n

5+ years of software development experience<\/p>\n

Strong expertise in Java (version 21+), with exposure to modernization\/upgrade efforts (e.g., Java 25)<\/p>\n

Proven experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role, including mentoring developers and leading distributed teams (offshore\/nearshore)<\/p>\n

Strong hands-on experience building distributed systems and microservices architecture using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Kafka<\/p>\n

Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern DevOps practices, including CI\/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes<\/p>\n

Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases<\/p>\n

Ability to operate in a 50\/50 hands-on (IC) and leadership capacity, contributing to development while driving team execution<\/p>\n

Experience with code reviews, technical interviews, and organizing work across engineering teams<\/p>\n

Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions and participate in requirements gathering<\/p>\n

Experience building and supporting large-scale, customer-facing applications, including net-new development and service modernization\/rewrites<\/p>\n

Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with senior leadership, provide status updates, and escalate risks\/issues<\/p>\n

Backend-focused (90%), with minimal frontend responsibility<\/p>\n

Proven problem-solving mindset, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability<\/p>\n

Ability to act as a technical liaison between engineering and business stakeholders<\/p>\n

Must be able to work onsite 4+ days per week<\/p>\n

Desired Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Experience managing offshore resources<\/p>\n

Experience holding third party vendors accountable<\/p>\n

Experience developing both web and mobile solutions<\/p>\n

Experience leading teams in an Agile\/Scrum environment<\/p>\n

Exposure to event-driven architecture or streaming technologies (Kafka, etc.)<\/p>\n

Background working in high-transaction or customer-facing platforms<\/p>\n

Strong understanding of performance optimization and scalability best practices<\/p>\n
