This position will work closely with the Director of Finance and be responsible for overseeing critical accounting and financial reporting functions, including month-end close, fixed asset accounting, audit preparation, reconciliations, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, audit experience, and the ability to quickly step into a highly visible role.<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Review and analyze month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation calculations, and related general ledger reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review journal entries related to depreciation, fixed asset activity, prepaid amortization, payroll, accruals, and other month-end adjustments.<\/li>\n<li>Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.<\/li>\n<li>Lead year-end close and audit preparation efforts, including preparing audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.<\/li>\n<li>Research and address GAAP accounting issues and assist with tax compliance questions as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Review account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely resolution of variances and outstanding items.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and accounting policies to support financial integrity and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Partner closely with the Director of Finance to support ongoing accounting operations during a leave coverage period.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with process improvements and accounting system optimization initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong financial reporting responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, depreciation, prepaid amortization, and journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting annual audits and year-end close activities.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and quickly adapt to new environments.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/ZmluYW5jZWRjLjkxOTQ2LjEyNTg0QGJlYWNvbmhpbGwuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">F3756208-HB_1783439608<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"otherId\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/F3756208-HB_1783439608\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":3770,"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Washington, District of Columbia","_application":"financedc.91946.12584@beaconhill.aplitrak.com","_company_name":"Beacon Hill Staffing Group","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[201,203],"job-types":[2],"class_list":["post-128774","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-full-time"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
