This individual will oversee a team of quality professionals and work closely with operations, executive leadership, and regulatory agencies to ensure products, processes, and facilities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.<\/p>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity for a quality leader who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution. The role will influence quality programs across multiple facilities while helping drive continuous improvement, food safety excellence, and regulatory readiness.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Quality Assurance professionals<\/li>\n<li>Oversee quality systems, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance activities across multiple facilities<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the primary point of contact for FDA, USDA, and state regulatory agencies<\/li>\n<li>Manage internal audits, customer audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspections<\/li>\n<li>Lead investigations, CAPA activities, and risk assessments<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and SQF standards<\/li>\n<li>Maintain quality documentation, traceability programs, and compliance reporting systems<\/li>\n<li>Develop and deliver food safety and quality training programs<\/li>\n<li>Monitor key quality metrics and provide updates to executive leadership<\/li>\n<li>Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Business, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>7+ years of quality assurance, food safety, or regulatory compliance experience<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience leading or managing a quality team<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, and food manufacturing regulations<\/li>\n<li>Experience with audits, inspections, investigations, CAPA, and quality management systems<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>SQF Practitioner certification (current SQF Code)<\/li>\n<li>Internal Auditor certification<\/li>\n<li>PCQI certification<\/li>\n<li>Food Defense Coordinator certification<\/li>\n<li>HACCP or HARPC training<\/li>\n<li>SAP experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience with SQL, MS Access, or advanced Excel<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Work Environment<\/h2>\n<p>This position combines office and plant-based responsibilities and includes travel to manufacturing and warehouse locations.
