{"id":129257,"date":"2026-07-15T00:14:05","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T00:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bhsg.com\/jobs\/job\/lt07142026sf_1784074445-product-counsel-piedmont-california\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T02:52:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T02:52:16","slug":"lt07142026sf_1784074445-product-counsel-piedmont-california","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/bhsg.com\/jobs\/job\/lt07142026sf_1784074445-product-counsel-piedmont-california\/","title":{"rendered":"Product Counsel"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong><a id=\"myCustomID\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/LT07142026SF_1784074445\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Beacon Hill&#8217;s client, a digital payments platform, is seeking a <strong>Product Counsel<\/strong> to support their team.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> U.S.-based remote<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start:<\/strong> ASAP<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anticipated Duration:<\/strong> 1 year from start date<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong> Full-time<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pay:<\/strong> $100-$115\/hour, depending on experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: 5+ years with the following qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in at least one state bar required<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience dealing with consumer protection issues<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in financial services, consumer protection, and business laws (KYC\/CIP, Regulation Z, Regulation E, UDAAP, UDAP)<\/li>\n<li>Fluency with consumer and business privacy regimes<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with AI governance frameworks as applicable to technology products<\/li>\n<li>Excellent drafting skills<\/li>\n<li>Beneficial to have experience in fraud, payments issues (e.g., NACHA and Visa rules), and complaints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent active listening and practical communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluency translating legal advice into actionable guidance for creative products and collaborators<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing skills (including drafting clear, actionable legal advice, concise legal terms)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to quickly adapt and reorient in an evolving regulatory and business environment<\/li>\n<li>Sound, practical business judgment, and creativity solving problems<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity and comfort with technology, including use of Slack, Google Suite, and AI tools<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with disputes issues and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of disputes, payments, and fraud issues in the technology space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide legal review and analysis on account restrictions, closures, and general account status, specifically considering consumer protection and fraud\/scam issues.
