This role is responsible for overall plant performance, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, employee development, budgeting, inventory management, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong business acumen, proven leadership experience, and a safety-first mindset. This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence while developing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, environmental compliance, and workforce development.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the facility meets production goals, cost objectives, quality standards, and customer delivery commitments.<\/li>\n<li>Manage plant budgets, capital projects, operating plans, and resource allocation.<\/li>\n<li>Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to production, maintenance, quality, and financial performance.<\/li>\n<li>Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, productivity, and operational effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Build, coach, and develop both salaried and hourly employees while fostering strong employee relations.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, capital investments, staffing, and operational initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain positive relationships with employees, community stakeholders, and business partners.<\/li>\n<li>Support and lead union workforce management, including labor relations and contract administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.<\/li>\n<li>8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading large manufacturing operations with responsibility for production, safety, maintenance, quality, and financial performance.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of budgeting, capital planning, P&amp;L management, and operational metrics.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive change, and improve plant performance.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Background<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Wood products experience preferred, including plywood, veneer, lumber, MDF, or OSB manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Other heavy industrial manufacturing experience will be considered, including pulp and paper, cement, mining, or similar environments.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing unionized workforces.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in 24\/7 manufacturing operations.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of capital projects, maintenance planning,
