This position is responsible for the overall performance of the operation, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, environmental compliance, employee development, financial performance, and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a proven manufacturing executive who can drive results through people, maintain a strong safety culture, and effectively manage a large-scale 24\/7 operation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the business side of manufacturing as well as the day-to-day realities of plant operations.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, quality, environmental compliance, inventory, and workforce development.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the facility consistently meets production targets, quality standards, cost objectives, and customer commitments.<\/li>\n<li>Manage plant budgets, capital projects, operating plans, and overall financial performance.<\/li>\n<li>Drive a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to production, maintenance, quality, and financial performance.<\/li>\n<li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.<\/li>\n<li>Build, coach, and develop both salaried and hourly employees while fostering a culture of accountability and engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with leadership on strategic planning, capital investments, staffing, and operational initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Manage employee relations, labor matters, workforce planning, and organizational development.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate plant goals, priorities, and performance expectations across all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.<\/li>\n<li>10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.<\/li>\n<li>Proven success leading large-scale manufacturing facilities with responsibility for safety, quality, production, maintenance, and financial performance.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of budgeting, capital planning, P&amp;L management, operational metrics, and business strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing both salaried and hourly workforces.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to develop teams, drive change, and improve operational performance.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Background<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Wood products manufacturing experience is required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in plywood, veneer, lumber, engineered wood products, or related wood manufacturing environments strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading large facilities with 200+ employees.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in 24\/7 manufacturing operations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing within a union environment.<\/li>\n<li>Full P&amp;L responsibility and capital project leadership experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What
