This is a unique opportunity to join a global law firm and contribute across a mix of practice areas, which may include labor and employment, corporate counsel, and litigation. The partner overseeing this role is open to training the right candidate who demonstrates flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to a long-term engagement.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location: <\/strong>Remote (Candidates must be actively licensed and reside in the <strong>same state<\/strong>, and that state must be one in which the firm has an office)\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible states: <strong>California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington State, and Washington, D.C.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start:<\/strong> ASAP<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> Open-ended, with the potential to transition to a direct-hire Special Project Lawyer (SPL2) role within the firm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Concurrent employment: <\/strong>Not permitted<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong> 40 hours per week<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pay:<\/strong> $90-$113\/hour, depending on experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MailCompose\">Active bar license in good standing in your state of residence (must be an eligible office state listed above)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Japanese fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) is required<\/li>\n<li>Prior recent experience as General Counsel, Senior In-House Counsel, or Corporate Counsel (in-house experience strongly preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working directly with partners and clients in a client-facing capacity<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable and capable of supporting multiple practice groups<\/li>\n<li>Interested in a long-term, stable opportunity with room for growth<\/li>\n<li>Japanese writing sample preferred (ALTA scores accepted if unavailable).
