Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A national law firm seeks a Paralegal for their Tampa, FL office. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY: <\/strong>The litigation paralegal collects, analyzes, organizes and maintains factual information and documents, both electronic and hard copies, in accordance with correct legal practice and procedure. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>DUTIES\/RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects and evidence collection.<\/li>\n<li>Drafts legal documents including motions, affidavits, and discovery.<\/li>\n<li>Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.<\/li>\n<li>Perform all aspects of discovery including drafting and responding of discovery requests and subpoenas; compiling, organizing coding\/indexing documents.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.<\/li>\n<li>Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.<\/li>\n<li>On a case-specific basis, oversees the organization and maintenance of the case file and Case Management Spreadsheet delegating to and overseeing the tasks of department assistants and\/or file clerks, as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS\/ABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. <\/li>\n<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to organize files and workflow.<\/li>\n<li>Must be available for overtime and travel, as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> <\/strong><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Paralegal Certificate\/Degree <strong>OR<\/strong> five years of litigation paralegal experience.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of Florida and U.S. District Court laws, court procedures, and electronic discovery.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial.<\/li>\n<li>Experience coordinating trial\/arbitration logistics, including negotiating for workspace, setting-up remote office space, and coordinating with clients and vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Experience maintaining processes to collect, store, and maintain paper and electronic case files.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with court and administrative agency filings, including electronic or e-filings.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using e-discovery databases and litigation support software for document production, witness files and deposition transcripts and exhibits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\"
