Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Beacon Hill&#8217;s client, a digital payments platform, is seeking a <strong>Product Counsel<\/strong> to support their team.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> U.S.-based remote<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start:<\/strong> ASAP<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> 1 year from start date<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong> Full-time (USA time zones)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pay:<\/strong> $100-$115\/hour, depending on experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-olk-copy-source=\"MailCompose\">Experience: 5+ years with the following qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in at least one state bar<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience dealing with consumer protection issues<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in financial services consumer protection and business laws, including KYC\/KYB\/CIP, Regulation Z, Regulation E, UDAAP, and UDAP<\/li>\n<li>Experience advising on disputes, fraud, account restrictions, complaints, and related consumer protection matters<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with consumer privacy laws and regulations, including GLBA, CCPA\/CPRA, and similar U.S. state privacy laws<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and the evolving AI regulatory landscape<\/li>\n<li>Excellent drafting skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience advising online marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, and\/or marketing and rewards programs is preferred<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Experience with payments issues (e.g., NACHA, Visa rules, money transmission laws) and complaints is a plus<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Excellent active listening and practical communication skills<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Ability to translate legal advice into actionable guidance for product and business teams<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Strong writing skills, including drafting clear and practical legal advice<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Ability to quickly adapt in an evolving regulatory and business environment<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Sound business judgment and creative problem-solving skills<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Proactive approach to client support<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Familiarity and comfort with technology, including Slack, Google Suite, and AI tools<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Familiarity advising on disputes, payments, fraud, and related regulatory issues in the technology space<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Provide legal review and analysis on account restrictions, closures, and account status issues, with a focus on consumer protection, fraud\/scam matters, and KYC\/KYB\/CIP requirements<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Advise the Neighborhoods team and other product teams on product development and launches<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Partner with product managers, engineers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide legal guidance<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Work closely with regulatory, compliance, tax, commercial counsel, accounting, and outside counsel teams<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Advise on disputes, complaints, account takeovers\/identity theft, consumer privacy matters, and related business issues<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Advise on AI products, including AI integrations, chatbots, and agentic AI tools<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Develop trusted relationships with business partners and provide practical legal guidance on product developments<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Draft terms of service, transactional disclosures, legal memos, product policies, and procedural playbooks<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Draft and review policies, processes, and procedures related to disputes, account restrictions, and account access\/onboarding<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Draft and review customer communications<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Support innovative product development by identifying practical legal solutions and opportunities<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\"
