This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 0-5 years of experience who is interested in developing hands-on litigation skills, managing files independently, and working closely with insurance clients and policyholders in a supportive, team-oriented environment.<\/p>\n<h1>Responsibilities<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage a caseload from initial assignment through file closure.<\/li>\n<li>Review files and conduct legal analysis of claims, defenses, and case strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Represent insurance companies and their policyholders in workers&#8217; compensation and related defense matters.<\/li>\n<li>Provide legal counsel and representation in proceedings, arbitrations, trials, and appeals.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate regularly with clients and provide timely case status updates.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct legal research and develop effective defense strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Attend court appearances, arbitration hearings, and other case-related proceedings.<\/li>\n<li>Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.<\/li>\n<li>Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with expert witness retention, trial preparation, and trial attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Meet an annual billable hour requirement of 1800 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Travel as needed for hearings, depositions, and other case-related matters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Qualifications<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.<\/li>\n<li>Admission to the Illinois State Bar.<\/li>\n<li>0-5 years of litigation, workers&#8217; compensation, insurance defense, or related experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in building practical litigation experience in a defense-focused practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Compensation<\/h1>\n<p>The anticipated salary range for this position starts at $70,000 depending on experience and qualifications.<\/p>\n<h1>To Apply<\/h1>\n<p>Submit a resume for confidential consideration.
