Our client, located in the Southwest Portland metro area, is looking for an experienced <strong>Accounting Manager<\/strong> who can step in quickly, bring steady leadership, and support a capable team during a busy season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">This is a strong fit for someone who is <strong>approachable, hands-on, and confident<\/strong> without needing to overcomplicate the work. You will be joining a professional, down-to-earth environment where the team values follow-through, clear communication, and someone who can keep things moving calmly and effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">As the <strong>Accounting Manager<\/strong>, you would be responsible for:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Leading and supporting a small team of accounting professionals<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Helping guide the <strong>month-end close<\/strong> process<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Reviewing work and helping keep close timelines on track<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Supporting financial reporting and month-end reporting needs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Partnering with leadership and other departments as needed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Helping answer questions and remove roadblocks for the team<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Jumping into accounting details when needed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Supporting various ad hoc projects and related accounting work<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">This is an <strong>in-office opportunity to start<\/strong>, with potential for a hybrid schedule after the initial training period. The schedule is standard business hours with some flexibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">To be considered for this specific opportunity, you would ideally have:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">4+ years of accounting experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Previous supervisory or team leadership experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Month-end close experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">BA\/BS in Accounting or a related field<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Strong Excel skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">ERP system experience<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">If you are a steady, hands-on Accounting Manager who likes being part of a capable team, enjoys leading without ego, and can help keep things moving in a busy accounting environment, please apply.
